City under siege from attacks from this  hill and from the sea. Days of shelling of old town. Many civilians and soldiers died. Buildings damaged, destroyed. 1991. Hard to believe.

Trip to Montenegro on orthodox easter Sunday

Kotor - wow, see pics. Picked up 2 hitch-hikers from Paris who stay in abandoned buildings / empty flats and 2 Polish students on way back. Montenegro very green like NZ. Kotor at base of huge mountain, with medieval walls and fortress - lovely small scale old town.
